Tom Taylor

Neighbourhood Network Ambassador Tom Taylor is a lifelong resident of Newmarket. Tom served as Newmarket Town Councillor for 32 years, including 9 years as Mayor of Newmarket. He brings a wealth of experience in the nonprofit sector to our organization. A past recipient of the Governor General of Canada Award for Community Service, Tom is a founding member of "INN From the Cold Inc.", a local homeless shelter, and a Founding Director and President of York Region Habitat for Humanity. Upon retiring from politics, he and his wife established the "Tom and Kate Taylor Trust Fund" to assist the less fortunate in our community.
Tim Jones

Neighbourhood Network Ambassador Tim Jones has lived in Aurora for more than 30 years and served as an Aurora Town Councillor and as Mayor of Aurora for 28 years. Tim is a founding Co-Chairperson of the York Region Character Community Council and was recognized with the Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club for his outstanding community service. He is currently a volunteer with the Southlake Regional Health Centre and Foundation. He also sits on the advisory review committee of the York Regional Food Network and continues to serve on the board of the York Regional Character Foundation.
