Join Literacy Council York-Simcoe in their mission to improve reading, writing and math skills in York-Simcoe. We are currently seeking candidates for our board of directors, with skills in at least one of the following areas for a 3 year term: administration, finance, fundraising, human resources, program development and evaluation or public relations. We are also welcoming expressions of interest in serving on one of our committees. Service on committees often acts as a conduit towards service on the board. Our active committees are: Marketing and Fund Development.

CHATS (Community Home Assistance To Seniors)
Office Support - 1 person Transportation desk volunteer (1) at the CHATS office in Aurora. Tuesday or Thursday morning. Books volunteers to provide drives to clients. Must be able to effectively speak and write English and have intermediate computer skills. Meals on Wheels order volunteers - 2 persons. Volunteers call meals on wheels clients to see if they want to place an order, Need 2 volunteers, Monday or Tuesday am at the CHATS office in Aurora. Must be comfortable communicating with Seniors on the phone, have excellent command of spoken English.
