Doane House Hospice

Doane House Hospice is putting together a team for a special project, with a commitment of one or two weekends before fall. Manual labour required to scrape off paint from the porch and ramp around Doane House Hospice. This has to be achieved by hand because of the nails. The team would prime and paint the porch/ramp.

Earth Rangers

We are currently looking for dynamic volunteers who are passionate about the environment to help out with program administration, such as making phone calls, photocopying, preparing fundraising kits, counting donations, and data entry. A friendly phone manner, and moderate computer skills are required. Time commitment is flexible, but preferably at least once per week.

Learning Disabilities Association of York Region

If you have a passion for children and education this opportunity is for you. We are looking for members of the community that would like to meet with a family once a week for one hour at your local public library. Assisting children from SK to grade 8 succeed in school! Training support and references are provided.

Southlake Regional Health Centre

Courtesy Volunteers needed to provide supportive directional assistance to outpatients, family members and visitors looking for specific areas of the hospital. Available shifts Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.; 12:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.; 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. This is a circulating role and can take you anywhere in the hospital.
