Special Friends- Males & females required to be matched with a child (age 4-18) in York Region. To do weekly activities, attend community events, support, provide guidance and increase self-esteem. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and have a reliable vehicle. Must have education and/or experience with children. Orientation & Training provided.

Canadian Red Cross, Region of York Branch
Administration - Branch Front Desk Volunteer to provide reception and administrative support for programs and activities. Duties include phone and walk-in inquiries; provide all functions related to the HELP program; process First Aid registrations and general office administation duties. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be 18 years of age and a clear criminal reference check. Training will be provided.

Disaster Management (DM) -- Personal Preparedness Education(PPE)Facilitator The volunteer will facilitate Personal Preparedness Education programs to the public, youth and other interested groups in York Region. You will be required to have access to a reliable vehicle. You will be required to pick up and drop off equipment and materials from/to the Branch office in a timely manner. Attendance at PPE quarterly meetings and monthly general DM meetings are required. Training provided.
