Belinda Stronach Announces Launch of Neighbourhood Network

Joined by representatives from local charities and community groups, The honorable Belinda Stronach anounced the Launch of Neighbourhood Network on January 15th.
The launch event took place at the Magna Center in Newmarket.

On hand for the launch announcement were:
Tom Taylor, former Mayor of Newmarket and a Neighbourhood Network Ambassador;
Tim Jones, former Mayor of Aurora and a Neighbourhood Network Ambassador; Bill Fisch, Chairman and CEO of The Regional Municipality of York;
Tony Van Bynen, Mayor of Newmarket;
Members of Newmarket and Aurora Town Councils; and
Peter Orr, Newmarket resident and the newest member of the major league baseball Washington Nationals.

Cadets Help Spread the Word about
Neighbourhood Network

As part of a pre-launch public awareness campaign for Neighbourhood Network, dozens of air and sea cadets
went door-to-door in Newmarket and Aurora on January
12th. Their mission: to encourage local residents to volunteer on behalf of community charities and organizations.
